What’s New in Design and Sales Automation

Hagerman & Company has a long history in the area of design and sales automation.

In recent years, these services have seen a tremendous increase. We have developed and implemented solutions that allow our customers to fully automate the generation of sales proposals, 3D models, proposal and design drawings, bill of material output, etc. These solutions have been used by company engineering or sales staffs, distributors and even end users over the web.

Some of our recent and current projects include:

  • A desktop and web-enabled solution for a manufacturer of auditorium seating, which reduced layout/proposal drawing package time from approximately 17 hours to 15 minutes.
  • A solution for a medical laboratory design company that allowed for the automatic generation of all elevation views and details along with bills of material.
  • A web-integrated solution for a manufacturer of custom drainage systems that will capture and pass information to Autodesk® Inventor (and iLogic) to automatically generate 3D models, 2D drawings and job specification documents

The end results for all of these projects are that:

  • Engineers are freed up to do more productive work
  • Proprietary knowledge and design rules are captured and utilized throughout the organization
  • Errors are eliminated
  • Turnaround time and customer satisfaction is greatly improved
