Advanced BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise Capabilities

As many of you may already know, Hagerman & Company has been implementing the BlueCielo Meridian and TeamWork software from BlueCielo ECM Solutions (formerly Cyco Software) for engineering and enterprise document management and workflow for over a decade now.

Also, as many of you may know, we implement Synergis Adept and Autodesk Vault which offer similar capabilities to Meridian and TeamWork. It is our mission to work with each particular customer and help them determine which solution is right for them rather than having one system we try to sell to everyone.

One of the defining features of Meridian and the reason that many customers select it is the number of advanced modules that are available for Meridian in order to enhance its capabilities in certain areas or for particular industries. Some of these modules include:

BlueCielo Publisher – Offers the ability to automatically render CAD and other document types to PDF or other common formats on Meridian workflow/document events and then publish them to Meridian vaults, FTP sites, other in-house document management systems or e-mail them to pre-defined recipients.

SharePoint Integration – While the Publisher above can publish documents to Microsoft SharePoint, this module allows SharePoint users to seamlessly search and retrieve documents that are inside their Meridian vault without leaving their SharePoint client environment.

Global Collaboration Framework – Provides multi-site replication capabilities between multiple company locations so that all users at all sites anywhere around the country or around the globe have fast local access to the latest versions of large CAD files and other documents.

Advanced Project Workflow – Enables the management of complex and concurrent or overlapping plant engineering projects and fully supports project management, control of as-built and master documents, collaboration and regulatory compliance.

Asset Management – Enables users to create links between their engineering documents and equipment records including seamless integration with popular maintenance management solutions like SAP-PM, Maximo, Ultimo, Datastream, Archibus and others. Maintenance people are then able to access the correct and latest version of needed engineering drawings and documents directly from equipment records and work orders within the maintenance management system.

FDA Module - An out-of-the-box solution that manages current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) engineering documentation throughout the enterprise and provides full 21 CFR Part 11 compliance as required by the FDA.

Email Manager – While the standard Meridian system enables users to save e-mails (and their attachments) directly into the Meridian vault from Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes, the Email Manager can automate things so that incoming e-mails are automatically routed to specific locations in Meridian based on pre-configured rules.

Project Portal – Available either standalone or working in conjunction with Meridian, the Project Portal is a cloud-based solution designed to allow companies to share project engineering and construction documents with outside engineering firms and contractors. Key features include version management, audit trails, e-mail notification, transmittal management and bulk document uploading.
