From Inventor Fusion to Autodesk Fusion 360: The Cloud-Based Transition

Hagerman & Company

Now that the 2014 products have been out for a while, users are wondering what happened to Inventor Fusion.

As some have discovered, Inventor Fusion is no longer a part of the suites. This is because the tool was once an Autodesk Labs Technology Preview tool, but has now “graduated” into a full-blown product.

Inventor Fusion has transitioned into Autodesk® Fusion 360, a cloud based tool. This is a full 3D modeling tool based in the cloud. Users will have access to build, modify or view models from anywhere.

Not only will users have full time 3D modeling access, they will have new ways to collaborate with others on a project. With the new hub, users have access to discussions and learning tools. Fusion 360 provides the ability to share designs with others, allowing them to edit, comment, share calendars or other information. Click the image below for more information.
