In Inventor 2019 Part files, there is an “Annotate” tab where you can add Model Based Definitions. The commands include Leaders, Hole Notes, Feature Control Frames, Surface Texture Symbols that can be placed in any 3D view.

3D annotations and view representations are displayed when you create a 3D PDF file. You can export these 3D annotations.

Step AP 242 support is added. You can now export a fully annotated 3D model that can be used in downstream manufacturing operations. You can also attach a STEP file when you export a 3D PDF.
