AutoCAD Electrical Error – “Unable to communicate with the Project Database Service”

In the month of November 2019, we received many phone calls that AutoCAD Electrical software started generating a message ““Unable to communicate with the Project Database Service”. A second strange error message also started appearing that read “No selection, Specifies the current thickness”.

Customers had in common that a recent Windows security update file (kb4484127) had been installed.

If you receive these error messages, uninstall the Windows Update and try running AutoCAD Electrical again to see if the error has stopped appearing.
